This is just the colored film replacement which is used as the stained glass for the church front window frame.
NOTE: This is just the colored film replacement for one window pane. It sits behind your existing window frame around the back pegs, hence, you will need to remove your window pane, add the colored film replacement, and reinstall the window pane.
Empire Church Front Stained Glass (No Frame)
The church window stained glass gel’s (colored film) are pre-cut, however you may need to further trim them some during installation.
The color layout can be found here: “http://www.blow-molded.com/Parts.html” , However, I have found the factory side window gels are often reversed from what is shown there. The color gel’s are shipped with protective film on both sides, which you will need to remove before gluing them to your window frames.
1. Before attempting to glue the gels in place, orientate them in the desired color pattern on your window frame.
- a. The gels often overlap, this is OK as the way the frames are made (factory and reproduction frames, the gels sit “on” the back of the frame, not “in” the frame.
- b. If necessary, trim the gels to fit around the pegs, or to better align with any adjacent gel.
- c. Set the gel’s off the frame in the pattern you just made.
2. Apply a thin bead of plastic glue (do not use crazy glue) on the frame for the first gel, and place the gel on the glue.
- a. Tweezers and a tooth pick come in handy for placing the gel in the best position.
3. Repeat for each gel.
4. Wait 24hrs for the glue to dry completely before installing the windows back on your church.
